About Dr. McMahen

Dr. Cameron McMahen was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and later grew up in Flower Mound, Texas.  He attended Oklahoma State University for his undergraduate studies where he graduated cum laude with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology in 2017. 

He then went on to attend Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine where he graduated magna cum laude with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 2021. Dr. McMahen then completed his Podiatric Medicine and Surgery/Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.  During his time at Ohio State, he served as chief resident and received extensive training in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery.

Dr. McMahen is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in foot and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery and an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.  He has special interests in foot and ankle fractures, achilles tendon repair, ankle arthroscopy, lateral ankle instability, tendon and ligament repair/reconstruction, bunion and hammertoe correction, flatfoot and cavus foot reconstruction, sports medicine, diabetic limb salvage, Charcot arthropathy reconstruction, and other common foot and ankle pathologies in the adult and pediatrics.  

In his free time, Dr. McMahen is an avid sports fan and loves attending Dallas Cowboys, Mavericks, and Oklahoma State games.  He enjoys spending time with his fiancé Kelly and German Shepherd Zeke.  He is also a runner and hiker and spends all the time he can outdoors, so he understands how important it is to keep your feet active and healthy.
