Sports Medicine Q & A:
Q: Who does sports medicine involve?
A: Anyone who is leading an active lifestyle,
from weekend warriors to competitive athletes.
Q:
Does it relate to chronic or new injuries?
A: Often the problem the athlete experiences is due to a discreet
injury, but it may also be related to repetitive activity such as
throwing or running.
Q:
Why should I see a sports medicine specialist?
A: Continuing advances made in diagnostics and surgical techniques
are made daily. Having a provider who is specially trained in assessing
and managing sport-specific injuries can lead to a faster, more
complete return to high performance activity.
